Crystal Cove Resort

Summary

Crystal Cove Resort in Tofino, BC, commissioned Arkitek Creative to refresh its visual library with warm, natural photography of the property. The goal was simple: show guests what it actually feels like to stay there, from the cabins and gardens to the shared spaces and the team that runs it.

Arkitek’s photographer stayed on site across several days, scheduling each cabin around checkout and check-in so every space could be shot at its best without disturbing guests. The result is a flexible library of landscape and portrait images, processed with a natural look and ready for the resort’s website, booking platforms and social channels.

Scope of Work

  • Resort photography library: cabin interiors and exteriors, gardens, playground, office and facilities
  • Team photograph for the resort’s careers page
  • Landscape and portrait formats, natural colour processing
  • Full-resolution and web-optimized versions of every selected image

Approach

The shoot was planned around the rhythm of a working resort.

Planning — Arkitek worked from Crystal Cove’s brief and shot list, mapping each cabin and space to the best available window between guest stays, and building time for golden-hour light around the grounds.

On Location — The photographer captured the property as guests experience it: sunlight in the cabins, the gardens in bloom, the office with its hanging flower baskets, and details that make the resort feel welcoming. Each subject was shot in both orientations so the images work on any platform.

Finishing — Images were selected, colour-corrected and retouched in-house with a restrained, natural grade, then delivered in full-resolution and web-ready versions for immediate use.
