Canadian Gas Association Campaign

Acart Communications

Summary

Arkitek Creative partnered with Acart Communications and the Canadian Gas Association as the BC-based production partner for the Energy for a Secure Future video series — a national campaign showcasing Canada’s leadership in energy innovation and Indigenous partnership. The initiative aimed to raise awareness of sustainable resource development through storytelling that emphasizes collaboration, transparency, and long-term vision.

Arkitek provided full pre-production and production services, including location scouting, crew management, set design, and on-set direction. Filmed using a multi-camera setup and cinematic lighting design, the interviews featured notable figures such as Crystal Smith, Chief Councillor of the Haisla Nation, and Dominic Barton, former Ambassador of Canada to China and Vice President of Government Relations and Indigenous Affairs at Rio Tinto. The result was a series of polished, human-centered conversations reflecting Canada’s evolving approach to energy security and sustainability.

Scope of Work

• 2 × Long-form interview videos (multi-camera setup, 4K resolution)

• Raw footage to be handed over to client

Approach

The production was structured through a coordinated, multi-phase process to align with the national Energy for a Secure Future campaign.

Pre-Production

Arkitek collaborated with Acart Communications to coordinate logistics, scout studio locations, and prepare for dual-camera interview setups. Detailed shot plans, lighting design, and technical coordination ensured each production maintained visual consistency with the national campaign.

Production

Filmed in Vancouver, each interview featured a two-person conversational format captured across three camera angles for dynamic pacing. The lighting design emphasized warmth and clarity, maintaining a cinematic tone appropriate for high-level executive and government communications. Arkitek’s production team managed all on-set logistics, crew coordination, and art direction to deliver a refined, turnkey experience.

Post-Production

All footage was delivered to Acart Communications’ in-house post-production team, with Arkitek providing shot logs, slate references, and technical specifications for seamless integration into the national campaign pipeline.

The result was a seamless collaboration that upheld national visual standards while delivering local production excellence in BC.
